FAQs

 / FAQs

Do I have to be a member to come to CPC?

No, but it is recommended that you come with a member. You are more than welcome to come as a general guest for our Thursday Night Dinners and other events. We just ask that you sign in as a guest at the bar and be mindful of our Value Statement (which is found printed around the club and on our website).

How do I become a member?

You can become a member by visiting our website. Before joining please come to the club and get to know the space and some of our members.

Do I have to have a member with me if I would like to come to dinner?

No, you are more than welcome to come as a general guest for our Thursday Night Dinners and other events. We just ask that you sign in as a guest at the bar and be mindful of our Value Statement (which is found printed around the club and on our website).

Do I have to preorder food?

No, but it’s highly recommended. Preordering helps us gauge how many people will be attending our events.

Can I get my order to go?

Yes! When you come to the club please let Amelia know you would like your food packed up.

Can I pick up someone’s order for them?

Yes, just let Amelia know who you are picking up for.

How do I check in when I arrive?

We have a tablet set up at the end of the bar with information to sign in. If you have any trouble please let the bartender on staff know.

Are children allowed at the club?

Errrrr… Yes. Technically. We don’t want to discourage you from bringing your kid but know that our space is mostly for adults. Conversations around the club may be too mature for young ones. Some events may be more kid friendly than others, if you have further questions please ask.

I left something at the club. Is the club open for me to get it back?

You are more than welcome to recover your items during our advertised events.  If you want to arrange another time please message us and we may be able to work something out.

Can I rent the CPC for a private event?

Renting the club is reserved for members only. You can visit our website for more information.

How do I find the members only page on FB?

If you have received your acceptance letter for membership, you can join our members only FB group. You can find it by searching for Clifton Pleasure Club Members.

Can I order a cake for someone else’s birthday to share at the club?

If you are a member, yes! Please send us a message about when and what kind of cake you would like.

Weather & Schedule Changes:

Since all our events are outside these days, we’re reliant on good weather more than we’re used to. This being the case, we will do our best to plan rain dates ahead of time and postpone other events, rather than cancel them, as much as possible. Please keep an eye on your email and the Facebook Event Page for updates in the case of bad weather. Changes will be made no less than four hours before the start time. If you have purchased a ticket to a postponed or cancelled event, you will receive an email full options on how to proceed. Thank you for your understanding. We’ll have as much fun as possible rain or shine!

We are animal lovers here at the CPC and we want to play with all your special non-human friends. We are also a community space catering to people with varying needs and comforts. If you have a blind wooly mammoth who bumps into things, drools, and likes to tap dance, we’d love to see pictures. If not, we are happy to welcome your companions to the Club with the following understanding…

Your pet may:

  • SIT adorably near you and out of other’s walking paths
  • STAY leashed or otherwise reasonably contained at all times
  • COME and enjoy a meal with you from a bowl you provide.
  • BRING current rabies tags on their collar or elsewhere on your person

Please keep in mind:

  • NO roaming
  • NO jumping
  • NO eating off tables
  • NO sitting on chairs, tables, or benches
  • NO going near the food service area
  • No going inside the building
  • NO disruptive begging (what happens in your circle, stays in your circle)
  • NO incessant barking (barking is ok, prolonged, repeated barking is not)

Your pet will no longer be welcome at the CPC:

  • If they bite anyone, or any other animal, or come close to
  • If they lunge towards anyone in aggression
  • If they dig in the yard or raised beds
