A Note from Amelia – July 26, 2023
It will always take a little more takes a lot of creativity and work to run a space that’s as unapologetically weird and outsider as ours than if we just conformed in the ways that capitalism imposes. Pride is an amazing month and I’m so glad for the visibility of our community, and it’s also bitter sweet to see so many large companies collect their rainbow washed dollars. The Board, Dyson, and I are continually working on honing our best financial practices and working as efficiently as possible. We have managed not to raise food prices since before 2020, and we’re actually pretty happy with how affordable the Club continues to be. To help balance out how we feel about financially accessibility at the Club we will always have to engage in some “FUN”draising.
