A Note from Amelia – September 14, 2022

I have so much gratitude and appreciation for this community that supports me so that I can support it.

One of the very many things that I love about this Club is that I get to be a whole, complete, flawed person. Thank you all so much for not expecting me to be perfect to show up and do this job.  For letting me take time off when I need it.  For understanding the consent changes that we ask you to roll with.  For your patience and your acceptance.

I feel so supported in my work and that support feels sustainable like there are so many people supporting me in so many roles that I don’t feel like I’m sucking anyone dry.  That I’m not using people more than is comfortable, and that there is direct communication and consent for every single ask.  That I have so much support that I can easily take a “no, I don’t want to do that” from anyone and know that it will still be handled by someone else who is willing. 

It hasn’t always been like this and I worked really hard to build it, and that’s why I’m so fucking grateful.
