Eat More Chauncey’s

Commercial kitchens are generally a swamp of patriarchy and problematic-ness, and Amelia works really hard to make sure that our kitchen space is as much of a positive community space as our yard is. Currently Anna from TomKat Kitchen, and Melanie Kerr of Eat More Chauncey’s are part of our kitchen crew.

Chef Melanie is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Hospitality & Restaurant management Bachelors of Science degree in 2012. She is also a graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute with a Diploma of Culinary Arts in 2013. In her 15 years of culinary experience, Chef Melanie has successfully planned and executed numerous events, parties, weddings, and community events. She has been a featured chef on the Food Network’s CHOPPED (season 32 episode 1), DelMarVa Live news, WBAL-TV 11 News & WJZ-13 News. She has also been an event chef for Coachella Music Festival serving +90,000 meals. As a believer and supporter of the greater Baltimore City community, Chef Melanie employs her commitment to philanthropy through her participation in local charity events: Chili con Cervesa fundraiser (winner 2016. Competition judge 2017), Tiny Foods Competition (winner 2017 & 2018) to name a few.

In the past 6 years, Chef Melanie’s passion, hard work, and consistency have grown Chauncey’s from a fun side project into a thriving business. Through catering/chef services, chef instruction, & signature spice blends she has shared her culinary creations, recipes, and passion for food with a diverse client base and has been able to meet and satisfy their varying needs.
