Message from the President – August 17, 2022

Hello members and friends,

We are coming to the end of a very hot summer at CPC. I hope everyone has enjoyed the great events happening in the yard as well as Amelia’s menus. This has been our busiest summer yet and I think it’s time to make sure we are all on the same page with the culture of our space.

CPC is a members club, we are not your average bar or nightclub. The success of the club is dependent on our members and guests and success for us is not just financial it is also how the space is maintained. We have noticed a lot more trash left in the yard and general disregard for our neighborhood over the course of the summer. Here is a quick list of expectations we have from our members and their guests.

  • Please put all trash in trash cans, cans in recycling bins, and bring in trays and silverware after eating.
  • We are not a play space. Please do not “play” in the yard in sight of our neighbors.
  • Our space is in a neighborhood. After dark please keep noise down to general conversation level. No screaming, loud laughing, or yelling beyond earshot.
  • Please drink responsibly. Ask for a ride or call an Uber or Lyft if you are intoxicated.
  • Be mindful of our club values. We are a radical space that does not tolerate misogyny, racism, ableism,  etc.
  • Members will be held accountable for their guests.

Moving forward we ask that EVERYONE sign in! When entering our space please go to the bar and sign the book. There is a reference guide for members to find their numbers and all guests should be accompanied by a member. If you are coming for the first time and do not know anyone please reach out to us. We would love to have you at the club, we just would like to know who you are.

We are growing fast and we don’t want to lose what makes our space special. We worked very hard to define ourselves as a unique space here in Baltimore. We hope you stay patient with us as we find our boundaries and accommodate the space to this growth spurt. Change is great when you are learning from your experiences.

See you in the yard!

Chris Jay
